Mitchell Wagon

Test Wagon Imagered cedar box

This wagon has recently been sold.

This Mitchell wagon was built in Racine, Wisconsin. It was sold by Fred Schreiber of Wisner, Nebraska. We purchased the wagon in St. Joseph, Missouri at an auction.
The Mitchell Wagon Company was well-known for building very strong wagons. We feel that this is one of the strongest wagon bed and gears that we have had in a long time. It had been well cared for and required a minimum of restoration before the chuck box was added. This particular chuck box is built with beautiful red cedar. The wagon comes equipped with chuck box, wagon sheet, dutch oven boot, 15 x 18 cook fly, cedar poles with pole rack, wrought iron stakes, barrel with barrel rack, all ropes, axe and shovel.
We, as chuck box builders, think that this could be one of the finest chuck wagons for sale in the southwest today.
